Sylvester confirmed as the top Border Collie in the UK for the third successive year and also as the #1 PASTORAL BREED, in the Group.

After a hard fought show season, Sylvester wins the ultimate accolade as the top winning dog of all breeds in the Pastoral Group in 2011 - a fantastic achievement considering the strength of the other breeds in the Group.

November 2011

Sylvester wins his 25th CC at the West of England Border Collie Club Championship Show, under Specialist Breed Judge Miss Josie Large who was judging the males and then Best in Specialty Show under Pastoral All-rounder Judge Mr. Robin Newhouse who made the top awards.

Making a very special day even more memorable, Sylvester’s progeny also featured at the top of their respective classes yet again; with pride of place going to Jason Higgins' Jaydean Morning Star who topped the Yearling Bitch class and then won the Reserve Bitch CC under Pastoral Judge Mrs. Angie Allen who was judging the females. Her litter sister Jaydean Dawn Chorus; also owned by Jason; was placed second in the Limit Bitch class, only beaten by another Sylvester daughter - Karen & David Angiers Bilyara La Luna. A more recent addition to the "progeny team", Foxbarton Ace of Diamonds owned by Mrs. P. Schwarzer also took the top award in the youngsters by winning Best Puppy Dog and then Best Puppy in Specialty Show.

Boo wins her Croatian Champion Title !

During 3 hectic days of showing in Zagreb, Croatia, Claygar Sweetest Taboo - "Boo" owned by Christa Deconinck wins her first title.

At the 10th British Sheepdog Show "Boo" was graded Excellent and was awarded 1st in Open Bitch, the CAC, Best Bitch and then Best of Breed under Mr A. Cronander (Sweden). Later in the day she won BIS3.

On day 1 of the International show in Zagreb, "Boo" was graded Excellent and then won 1st in Open Bitch, the CACIB, Best Bitch and Reserve Best of Breed under Mrs. Judith Papp from Hungary. On day 2 of the International show "Boo" was again graded Excellent and then won 1st in Open Bitch, the CACIB, Best Bitch and Best of Breed under Mrs W. Misterka-Kluska from Poland. Later in the day she was awarded 3rd place in a very competitive Group 1. By winning 2 CACIB’s on the same weekend she gains the titles of “Zagreb Winner” and more importantly Croatian Champion… her first title.

Sylvester wins his 24th CC and RBISS, at the North West Border Collie Club Championship Show, under leading Breed Specialist Judge Mrs. Judith Gregory.

September 2011

Sylvester wins his 23rd CC and then Best of Breed at the Darlington Championship Dog Show, under leading All-rounder Judge Mr. Robert Gregory. Representing the breed once more in the Pastoral Group, he was subsequently short-listed to the last 8 dogs in the Group.

Sylvester wins the Pastoral Group Richmond Championship Dog Show

Sylvester wins his 22nd CC and then Best of Breed, at the Richmond Championship Dog Show, under Breed Specialist Judge Mr. Alan McCord. He then goes on to win a strongly contested Pastoral Group for the second year running at Richmond and therefore for the fifth time in just 12 months, under leading International All-rounder Judge Mr. Jeff Luscott.

Sylvester wins the Eukanuba CHAMPION STAKES
at the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Show

Sylvester wins the overall heat of the Eukanuba CHAMPION STAKES, at the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Dog Show, under leading All-rounder Judge Mr. Tom Johnston. He is now qualified for the grand final to be held in late October 2011, which will determine the UK's representative for the Eukanuba World Challenge to be held in Florida, USA in December.

Many congratulations to Judith Gregory with her Sylvester son, Tonkory Up and Coming on winning the Limit class and Dog CC at Bournemouth Championship Show under Breed Specialist Judge Mrs. Pam Harris.

Sylvester wins his 21st CC and then Best of Breed, at Paignton and District Fanciers Assoc. Championship Dog Show, under Breed Specialist Judge Mrs. Karen Angier. Later in the day, Sylvester went on to win Pastoral Group 4, under top Pastoral Judge Mr. Peter Bailey.

July 2011

Sylvester wins BEST IN SHOW
at East of England A. S. Championship Dog Show

Sylvester wins his 20th CC and then Best of Breed, at East of England Agricultural Society Championship Dog Show, under the Pastoral Specialist Judge Mr. Mick Taylor. Later in the day, Sylvester went on to win the top award in the Pastoral Group when he was placed Group 1, by another top Pastoral Judge Mr. Kevin Young. We then returned to the show the following day to compete against a first class line-up of Group winners and to our great delight Sylvester subsequently gained his first BEST IN SHOW award under eminent Vet and Judge: Dr. Ron W. James. This was a fantastic achievement from an entry of 9156 dogs.

And making a very special weekend even more unforgettable, Sylvester’s progeny also featured at the top of their respective classes yet again; with pride of place going to David & Karen Angiers Bilyara La Luna who topped the Post Graduate Bitch class and then won the Bitch CC at just 22 months of age. Her litter brother Bilyara River Ranch owned by Brian & Val Tansley also won the Post Graduate Dog class.
At the World show in Paris, Sylvester progeny also featured highly with Silva Adelsperger’s Simaro Dressed in Black taking the Dog CAC at just 19 months of age and at the French Championship show Judith Gregory’s Tonkory Up and Coming took the Reserve Dog CAC.

Congratulations to Jason Higgins for a tremendous achievement with his Sylvester daughter, Jaydean Dawn Chorus on winning the Yearling class and Reserve Bitch CC at Three Counties A. S. Championship Show  under Judge Mr. Ben Reynolds-Frost.

Sylvester wins the Pastoral Group at the Southern Counties Canine Association – Centenary Championship Show

Sylvester wins his 19th CC and then Best of Breed, at the Southern Counties Championship Show, under International All-rounder Judge Ms. Karina Le Mare. He then goes on to win the Pastoral Group for the third time in less than a year under leading All-rounder Judge Mr. Vic Salt.

“Sylvester” – Wins the Border Collie of the Year Contest - 2010.

Sylvester wins the “Border Collie of the Year” Invitational contest which is limited to Champions and CC winners / Reserve CC Winners from 2010. Hosted this year by the West of England Border Collie Club; the Judges for this prestigious event were Mrs. Marion Spavin, Mrs. Ferelith Somerfield and Mrs. Dianna Spavin.

Sylvester wins his 18th CC and then Best of Breed at the (Birmingham) National Dog Show, under Breed Specialist Judge Mrs. Irene Kiff. Representing the breed once more in a very competitive Pastoral Group, he was subsequently short-listed to the last 7 dogs in the Group.

Sylvester returns to the ring after his well-deserved Winter break and wins his 17th CC at the Working and Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales Championship Show, under Breed Specialist Judge Mrs. Pam Etheredge.

At Southern Border Collie Club Championship show the young, talented exhibitor Miss Sarah Stacey won the Junior Handling classes and then followed this up by winning the Yearling & Graduate dog classes and Reserve Dog CC in the breed competition, with her Sylvester son Bilyara Orapa under All-rounder Judge Mr. Richard Kinsey. Well done Sarah !
