Thank you to all the Judges, who made Misty so successful in her show career.

Born in 1992, Misty was definitely a bitch who was born and shown ahead of her time! Being Blue & White and prick-eared this certainly made her stand out in the show ring, however this also held her back from top honours on a number of occasions. A daughter of the very famous import "Blue Aberdoone", Misty carried Australasian bloodlines on both sides of her pedigree.

She had a very successful puppy career, usually placed in the first 3 in the class - these results and successes continued as she progressed through and into the adult classes.

When Bootsie arrived at Claygar in 1994, Misty seemed to get somewhat over-shadowed by her more "conventional" kennel mate, but despite this Misty still managed to acquire 2 Reserve CCs along the way from Leslie Morgan and Joyce Collis.

It was then decided in 1997 to "rest" Misty on maternal duties for a year or so, which we did, however much to our dismay she then refused to grow a proper coat back so she did not return to the show-ring as planned. So in 2000 we decided to mate her again, this time using our own dog Moss (Sh Ch Claygar Bootsy 'N Snudge). This produced a really stunning litter, with our own Amy (Sh Ch Claygar Shake Your Booty) being the pick of the puppies.

Misty then decided to re-grow her coat after this second litter, but by now she had reached the Veteran stage so her outings were then limited to Breed Club shows and the occasional Veteran class, whilst her daughter Amy flew the flag for the kennel.

Misty was the start of it all in terms of showing and she also successfully contributed her lines to those of Bootsie in creating our subsequent success in the breed ring. She has left a legacy of Champion children and grand-children, both here in the UK and overseas.

Sadly no longer with us, but she will always live on in our hearts!
